Our story

Named after the heaviest machine that ever moved on land.

Marion Power Shovel, in Marion, Ohio, built the biggest walking draglines in history. Their most famous machine, Big Muskie, weighed 13,500 tons and moved more earth than any single piece of equipment ever built.

Marion also built the crawler transporters that carried every Apollo rocket to the launch pad. The same machines delivered Saturn V to Pad 39A for Apollo 11, the mission that put the first humans on the moon. Those crawlers are still in service at Kennedy today.

My grandfather was an engineer at Marion. His generation used machines to move mountains and rockets to the moon. I use software to move operations. Same principle: reach the hard-to-get places, pull something valuable out.

That's what Dragline is. We built it for the businesses that still do the hard work, the manufacturers, distributors, field-service operators, and industrial companies that keep the country running.
